Dr. Concetta Tomaino Named Herron’s 2025 Christel DeHaan Family Foundation Visiting Artist Lecturer

The Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF) is proud to share that our Executive Director, Dr. Concetta Tomaino, has been named Herron School of Art & Design’s 2025 Christel DeHaan Family Foundation Visiting Artist Lecturer. A trailblazer in music therapy and neurobiologic rehabilitation, Dr. Tomaino’s work has transformed the field, demonstrating the power of music to restore function and improve quality of life for individuals with neurological conditions.

As part of her visit, Dr. Tomaino will attend a special screening of The Music Never Stopped on March 26 at 6:00 p.m. in Basile Auditorium at Herron. The film, inspired by real events, highlights the profound impact of music on memory and healing. Following the screening, Dr. Tomaino will engage in a Q&A session and connect with attendees at a reception in the Grand Hall. On the following day, Dr. Tomaino will be speaking on two separate occasions on campus. Mark your calendars!
