
Sarah Fogler, M.S., MT-BC, LCAT-LP
Sarah Fogler is a Board-Certified Music Therapist (MT-BC) and Licensed Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT-LP) at the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF), where she also completed her clinical internship in June 2024. She holds a Master of Science in Music Therapy from the State University of New York at New Paltz and a Bachelor of Arts in Music from Nazareth University, where she also completed minors in Cognitive Neuropsychology and Music History.
Sarah brings clinical experience from a variety of settings, including working with older adults in rehabilitation and long-term care, as well as with young adults with developmental and intellectual challenges. At IMNF, she is dedicated to enhancing each individual's quality of life through thoughtful and person-centered music therapy.
In addition to her clinical work, Sarah is an active performer in her community as both a vocalist and hornist. Her passion for music performance was shaped during her time at Nazareth, where she cultivated a deep appreciation for vocal and instrumental artistry.

Gabrielle Bouissou LCAT, MS, MT-BC, CASAC-T
Gabrielle Bouissou is a New York State Licensed Creative Arts Therapist and Board-Certified Music Therapist with extensive experience working in psychiatric, medical, and home settings with adults. She received her Master’s degree from The State University at New York at New Paltz, where she was awarded with the Outstanding Graduate Award.
Gabrielle specializes in psychiatric work, providing clinical services to adults across the spectrum of psychopathology. Additionally, she completed her training to be a Certified Alcohol and Substance Abuse Counselor to support her work in dual-diagnosis.
Outside of hospital settings, Gabrielle provides music psychotherapy for adults living with dementia and Alzheimer’s disease, promoting agency, choice, and access to inner creativity and joy.
In addition to her clinical work, Gabrielle is a passionate advocate for human rights, working with several volunteer and mutual aid organizations in New York City that work to combat housing insecurity, health inequality, and food insecurity.

Xiyu Zhang, MA, LCAT, MT-BC
Xiyu Zhang is a board-certified music therapist and licensed creative arts therapist specializing in neurologic music therapy and dementia care. With a longstanding affiliation with the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function (IMNF), she continues to support outpatient programs and community initiatives as a per diem therapist.
She currently serves as a staff-facing therapist at the Wellness Center at NYC Health + Hospitals | Elmhurst, where she works on “Help Healers Heal” initiatives designed to promote resilience, reduce stress, and support the well-being of healthcare professionals.
