Five-time Grammy Award–winning soprano Renée Fleming takes the stage to discuss her new book, Music and Mind. A passionate advocate for the connection between the arts and health, Fleming discusses her illustrious career and the healing power of music with contributors from the book, David Leventhal (Program Director for Dance for PD of the Mark Morris Dance Group) and Concetta Tomaino (Executive Director and co-founder, with renowned author neurologist Oliver Sacks, of the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function).


Dr. Concetta Tomaino has contributed a major chapter to Music and Mind. In her chapter, Dr. Tomaino shares her personal journey as a music therapist and the launch of the Institute for Music and Neurologic Function, offering insightful clinical examples that illustrate the profound impact of music on the health and quality of life of individuals living with dementia.


There will be a book signing following the event. Attendees have the option to pre-purchase a discounted copy of Music and Mind with their ticket. There will also be copies available for purchase on the night of, at the retail price. Group discounts are available for groups of fifteen people or more.
